С The ancient fortress of Carcassonne is a treasury of attractions. Here you will see a fortress of Gallo-Roman period, the famous Trencavel Castle, the bridge of the 14th century, medieval cathedrals and churches. The narrow streets of the town are filled with architectural masterpieces, and among them there are cozy restaurants with traditional cuisine, shops and bars. Besides the excursion, you will have free time to visit some museums, castles or just take a walk and enjoy the atmosphere of the French town.
On the way back to Spain we will visit an oyster farm. Here you will see how oysters are farmed, and taste them if you so desire. The farm also sells local French wine, highly appreciated not only in the region, but far beyond.
Carcassonne fortress 2500 years of history will face you with fortress walls, medieval castles and narrow streets intertwined into a single architectural ensemble.
Trencavel Castle The first fortification was built here by the Romans, and the history of the following ages accumulated with new towers, walls and other additions to the initial structure.
Museum of Inquisition The Inquisition tower has the collection of torture instruments of that time and tells the complicated story of heretic persecution.
